Live and Let Live

The United States is leading the effort to impose a no-fly zone in Libya, even though we have no vital interests there. Neither do Franch and Britain have vital interests at stake in Libya. What happens in Libya has little bearing on the rest of that area of the world. Also not to be ignored, there are worse human rights violations elsewhere. But interventionists have goaded another president into acting as if the opposite were true. A third war with no stated goals nor exit plan.

Obama and his fellow bullies in Britain and France can not provide a coherent goal for this intervention. Reason? There is none. We and they just do not like their leader.

What if the rebels in Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya are organized and led by the Muslim Brotherhood and/or other radical Muslim groups with a goal of removing all dictators/monarchs in that region and replacing them with pseudo-theocracies? And the United States and other free countries are  helping them? This could be the start of WWIII with Russia and China standing by to jump in when it is most beneficial to them?

We must learn to live and let live.

Now We Wait

With the United Nations authorizing attacks on member nations the United States will one day be the target and we will deserve it. I am waiting for the World Court to authorize George Bush 43 to be tried on war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Invasion of Libya

Apparently we just cannot leave well enough alone. We invade Iraq, a sovereign country, remove its government and turn their president over to his enemies for execution. Now we get involved in a Libyian Civil war. When are we going to stop trying to run the world? How many of the countries that neighbor Libya are involved in the illegal attacks. Again we have no plan and do not know when we are finished. Stupid Stupid Stupid.

Cannot Make Others Live as We Live

The United States must stay out of Libya. It is time for the French, Germans, and Italians as well as some of those Arab Muslims to bury their soldiers in an illegal invasion of a sovereign country. The resolution passed by the UN will one day be used by our enemies to invade us and set us right.

Militaries Across the World

Militaries must stop allowing themselves to be used to intervene in sovereign countries at the whim of the civilian leaders of their country. Libya is involved in a Civil War much like the one we fought. If the south would have won we would be speaking German.

The Same Hand That Feeds You May be the One That Wrings Your Neck

Consider the turkey that is fed every day. Every single feeding will firm up the bird's belief it is general rule of life to be fed everyday by friendly members of the human race "looking our for its best interests" as a politician would say. On the afternoon of the Wednesday  before Thanksgiving, something unexpected will happen to the turkey. It will incur a revision of belief.
How can we know the future, given knowledge of the past; or, more generally, how can we figure out properties of the (infinite) unknown based on the (finite) known? What can a turkey learn about what is in store for it tomorrow from the events of yesterday? A lot, perhaps, but certainly a little less than it thinks, and it is just that "little less" that may make all the difference.

Re: My Magic Green Hat

Our country is pretty screwed up. As long as we are willing to help the helpless there will be cheaters. My guess is not many Americans will let a three-year-old girl starve or die of a treatable illness.

Those in prison can get a college education for free while non-criminals have to sacrifice to provide the same education for their children. Recently I read a paper about Denver CO, that claimed total costs, housing, food, medical etc total around $45,000 per year for each homeless person. One area Denver is looking at is providing a free apartment for the homeless which will cost less than $5,000 a year. That plus $10,000 for services per individual will reduce the total cost of the homeless by over 60%.Living in an apartment will be healthier than living in a shelter. One homeless person  How's that for stupid. Give a homeless person a home for free while those who are working have to struggle to afford the same things.

Several years ago there was a story out of the USSR that the manager of a canning plant had been executed for putting too few peas in a can of peas. My guess is that stopped the cheaters. Until we are ready to eliminate from society anyone hurting society we will continue to have cheaters.

This is true every where. I don't appreciate the fact that there are citizens that don't have health care and middle class children have to struggle to go to college and these people seem to get it for free. I may have been misinformed but this is what I have heard.

My Magic Green Hat

The other day I needed to go to the emergency room.  Not wanting to sit there for 4 hours, I put on my MAGIC GREEN HAT.   When I went into the E.R., I noticed that 3/4 of the people got up and left.

I guess they decided that they weren't that sick after all.   Cut at least 3 hours off my waiting time.

Here's the hat:

It also works at DMV. It saved me 5 hours.

At the Laundromat, three minutes after entering, I had my choice of any machine, most still running.

If you live in Texas, it might cut your wait time at the grocery store.

But...don't try it at McDonald's. The whole crew ran out the back door and I never got my order.

Big East Officials St Johns vs Rutgers

I hear the officials made a mistake. Where's the mistake? . They froze or intentionally gave the game to St Johns. Two flagrant fouls go uncalled and then traveling and out of bounds not called. All within a few seconds. These three should never work a game together again. Might want to see if any of them had money riding on the game. Worst officiating in years. Was in stupidity, favoritism, or dishonest?

Matt Damon joins the growing list of celebrities unhappy with President Obama

The sad thing is Obama could never do what he had promised. That the Hollywood crowd was taken in is no surprise. Too much drug use. As far as Matt Damon is concerned ask him if he has more money today than he did when he voted for Obama? If yes tell him to shut up. If no ask him how Obama has hurt him.

Middle East

The United States should stay out of the unrest in the Middle East. To-date we have supported dictators who have oppressed the people. The people hate us. Muslims cannot live in a democracy so oppression is the only way to govern them. They will overthrow or attempt to overthrow any government until they get one they like such as in Iran. Today, the people rebelling are very likely the trouble makers in Tunisia "spreading the word."  Muslims wanting to establish theocracies that will hate the United States. And regardless of what the politicians say this is a war between Western Civilization and Islam.
