Health Care Costs to the Taxpayers

Businesses, such as Wal-Mart, who do not pay their employees enough to permit them to buy health care insurance, are being subsidized by the taxpayers. While the Walton family fortune grows towards the $80 billion range the taxpayers are paying for the health care of the Wal-mart employees.

Before a corporation can pay bonuses to anyone; before they can pay out dividends, the corporation should be required to pay something back to the taxpayers for the health care costs of their employees. If they raise prices to the customers the customers can decide if they want to buy the product or service. We are paying now via higher taxes and increased deficits. Meanwhile families like the Waltons just keep getting richer.

That should not be permitted...
